I recently started a new job that actually is relevant to what I went to school for. I am now a Metallurgist and this song is something I wish I could blast in the lab all day. Or at least sometimes.

GWAR frontman Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus died last night. While am not a huge fan of the band, I can appreciate the energy they put into their music and live shows.

Since 2008, I have seen Flogging Molly in concert every year. Every year but this one. I recently moved to Georgia where they have already played this year, and tonight is their Dallas show. So here I am, in my apartment, with a Guinness, a book, and Speed of Darkness playing on my stereo. It just isn't the same.
